Responsible Gaming

Live Gambler is committed to responsible gaming, by providing a secure and responsible online gaming environment through compliance with industry best practice.

We want all our members to be playing for the right reason – for enjoyment and to have fun. While most players enjoy gambling in a sensible and adult manner, we are aware that some individuals may have a problematic approach to gambling. Some may try to gamble underage or some might find that gaming has assumed too large a role in their life.

In order to self-exclude yourself from our cardroom, please send us an email at info@livegambler.com and we will assist you to the best of our ability. Our critics like to portray our motives in a negative manner, but rest assured; it is not our intention nor in our interest to provide you with our software if you are not in control.

If you feel that gambling has become too large a part in your life, we would like to provide you with information to help you stay in control and assess your gambling habits. Please remember the following.

  • Gambling should be entertaining and not seen as a genuine way of making money
  • Keep track of the time and amount of money you spend gambling
  • Avoid chasing losses
  • Only gamble what you can afford to lose
  • If you need help, please contact us and we will assist you to the best of our ability.

Assess your gambling habits

Online gaming is another form of entertainment and it is essential for players to understand that. IF gambling has placed a burden on your life either financially or emotionally, we suggest you ask yourself the following questions:

  • Have you ever lost time from work or education due to gambling?
  • Have you ever felt remorse after gambling?
  • Have you ever gambled to get money with which to pay debts or otherwise solve financial difficulties?
  • Has gambling ever made your home life unhappy?
  • Has gambling affected your reputation?
  • Has gambling caused a decrease in your ambition or efficiency?
  • After losing have you felt the urge to return to gambling as soon as possible to win back your losses?
  • After a win do you have a strong urge to return and win more?
  • Have you often gambled until your last dollar was gone?
  • Have you ever borrowed to finance your gambling?
  • Have you ever sold anything to finance gambling?
  • Were you reluctant to use "gambling money" for normal expenditures?
  • Has gambling made you careless of the welfare of yourself or your family?
  • Have you ever gambled longer than you had planned?
  • Have you ever gambled to escape worry or trouble?
  • Have you ever committed or considered committing, an illegal act to finance gambling?
  • Has gambling caused you to have difficulty sleeping?
  • Do arguments, disappointments or frustrations create an urge for you to gamble?
  • Have you ever had an urge to celebrate any good fortune by a few hours of gambling?
  • Have you ever considered self-destruction or suicide as a result of your gambling?

Prevent underage gambling

LiveGambler.com does not allow anybody under legal age to play within our cardroom.  In order to ensure that minors do not play, we are required to obtain the name, address, and age of all our members. We also ensure that all advertising, sponsorship and promotional activity is not targeted at those under the age of 21.

The Interactive Gaming Council guidelines we follow include implementing controls to limit access by minors.

Here are some easy steps to help you prevent minors from logging on and gambling without your knowledge:

  • Use child protection software to block gaming sites from under 21s
  • Do not leave children unattended when you play on the software
  • Do not share your credit card or bank account details with minors
  • Do not leave the "Save Password" option enabled on the gaming software login screens
  • Create separate profiles for your children on computers, so that when they log in they cannot access your information

If you know someone under the age of 21 who is registered with us, please contact us immediately.
